Made in Slovakia may not be something you hear too often, but Novesta wears the badge with pride and with good reason! With a history dating back to the 1930s, the famous shoemaker Jan Antonin Bata opened up a small factory in a small town called Partizánske in the middle of Slovakia, which is where they are still made to this day. Since then, Novesta has been creating quality made, timelessly designed sneakers utilizing natural rubber & fibres such as cotton, linen and wool. Unlike a lot of sneakers of their ilk, their use of natural rubber is unique in that it is machine-pressed onto the body of the shoe- rather than being vulcanized- and then finished by hand which leaves their trademark look of the "tire marks" around the outsole! A very slick and unique minimalist sneaker for anyone stepping out of the norm.
