"The pastel blue pigment is derived from the leaves of Insatis Tinctoria, a plant which grows in the southwest of France. This item was soaked by hand in several successive dye baths, which mainly consist of pastel blue pigments and warm water. This dyeing process requires a lot of time and precision to obtain exceptional bright colours, which are impossible to achieve with synthetic dyes. It is an art only very few craftsmen still master."
