Denim Jacket - Hand Dyed 13.5oz Natural Indigo Denim
This variant is currently sold out
Made in Japan
Hand dyed using natural indigo harvested in the Tokushima prefecture of Japan.
This indigo is protected as a national treasure under Japanese law, with only a handful of skilled craftsmen and women certified to work with it. The hand dyeing process is slow and labour intensive, with each fibre of cotton yarn being repeatedly (upwards of 20 times per) dipped into the vats of indigo. The result is a fabric deeply penetrated with indigo, allowing for slow release fades and incredible depth.
